About Walden
Want to know what Camp Walden is like in the summer? Here’s a brief introduction to our fun counselors, wonderful camp grounds, and many fun activities that we offer to campers.

Meeting the Owners
Get to know Camp Walden’s owners Sol & Jen Birenbaum and Howie & Sari Grossinger, who they are and why
they love Walden so much.

Settings and Accommodations
View the wonderful scenery of Camp Walden’s 750 acres of land and private lake. We believe in fitting into our
camp environment, and all of our facilities and cabins take best advantage of the camp setting, but do not intrude
upon it. Our campers are all housed in spacious well-ventilated cabins. Browse through some pictures of the cabins
and our soaring dining hall.

The Units
We divide our camp into 5 specific units based on their age. Find out what unit your camper is in.

The Activities
We have an amazing number of planned activities including water sports, land sports, and arts programs. We really believe that these activities aid in the development of our campers social, creative, and athletic skills.

Health and Safety
At Camp Walden, our first priority is keeping our campers safe. We make sure all our counselors are fully
knowledgeable about first aid procedures and our camp-specific emergency policies and procedures. We have
a doctor and four fully qualified nurses on staff so you can rest assured your child is in good hands while at
summer camp.
